Square operation
If the rigidity that confines our consciousness of the space and
our vision, just like the gestalt-oriented thought of Euclidean
geometry, gives way to resilience and flexibility, we will have
rich contemplative experience in the dynamic world of imagination.
On the floor in the aged-old temples and palaces and on the wall
of castles on the mountaintop, we come across the stone structures,
which seem, in appearance, arranged in disorder. In fact, however,
they are in conformity of the order that is resilient and amorphorous,
which is in constant change and thereby transcending the rigid
structure of geometry.

사각 변주(四角變奏) , square operation
굳은 것으로 상정되는 도형으로만 변환 할 수 있는 유클리드적 형태사고의 논리와 마찬가지로 우리의 경직된 공간의식과
시각사고에, 마치 찰고무판과도 같은 탄성적인위상공간적 사고야말로 역동적 상상의 공간에 풍부한 명상적 회로를 마련해
주는 것이다. 우리네 사찰경내나 고궁 또는 산성의 석벽에서 무심코 발견하게 되는, 얼핏 무질서하기만한 듯한 비정형의
바닥돌 덩어리들의 이음새 구조야말로, 기실 굳어져 있는 기하 도형의 공간 구조를 넘어서 끊임없이 변조하는 탄력
있는 비정형의 부드러운 질서를 보여주고 있는 것을알게 된다.
